PORT-DE-PAIX, HAITI,
January 30th, 2010
To
: whom it may concern
Concerning the
reconstruction of
RADIO BALADE

BALADE FM RADIO is a socio-community

Port-de-Paix and North West of Haiti but also serves
due to its signal strength the North, North East,
Centre, Artibonite, Part of West such as Gonava
Island, Kenscoff , Furcy, Fermathe (hill
of Port-au-Prince),Petit-goave,Grand-Goave ,The Nippes, Grande-Anse(South
West),part of South and South East Departmet of Haiti. We were on the
Air since June 15th, 2000 had for mission
in the socio-educative and sets itself the task of
informing and educating all points of view, society
in general and youth in particular to save them from
Drugs,HIV/Aids,Disesase Sexual transmission

striking the country.Since the station itself cannot
meet the requirement to support itself due to no
support and advertising, because it serves about 75%
of the communities mentioned above. We have to
present you the objective of this small project to
get the radio station to go back on the air because
it’s been off the Air since the last Aftershock of
6.0 Magnitude of the earthquake of 7.2 on the 12 of

building where we located is leaning
In our spare capacity we already have the field available for this
reconstruction, but we need the support of everyone
to realize this goal.Balade FM Radio cannot stop the
work in education, for more than 1.5 millions will
fail to listen to,It cannot stop working for the
listeners that even valued at over 1 million for the
year 2009 throughout the world thanks Internet that
allow them to listen to its differents programs (shows),thanks
to the various programs. It has saved lives of
thousands of young people and others. It is an urgent
needed that deserves an urgent response, because
education in a country like Haiti, is too important
for students,professionals,youngs, old,men, women,
farmers who have no access to the Internet in cities
and in the countryside, but it help them get
informed but they can buy small batteries to power
their radios for accessing informations. In terms of
informations, a radio station in a country like
Haiti
could save lives of thousands of people apart from
any issues of every day as we’ve done so far. We
know that this reconstruction would cost much, but
it won’t burden the liability of a person or
organizations.We need money, any materials
(equipments) for radio stations and labor for
reconstruction. The appeal is made to any person,
organizations motivated to please help us.
Objective :
1-To offer a legacy to the citizen
of
Haiti living all over the country and abroad
2-To promote life as

and updated 24/7 in all over about 75% of
Haiti.
3-To connect Haitian Communities
in Haiti to other Haitian Communities in the world,

community,health,mental attitude,civic
engagement,social development etc.

corporate with differents entities in the world
etc…, and the radio maybe used by organizations
like yours for their prime sources, news and
community informations to help Haitians in every
circonstances
5-To establish a lot of exchanges
to various institutions (private and development) in
specially involved in humanitarian help,
development, education , civico-educative or

We would like to
clarify some in formations that we give in these
charts about the quantity.
1-
for
the cement, when we mention of 350 it’s for 350
bags,
2-
for
the Stones, the quantity 10, refer to 10 trucks,
because they sell these stones by truck;
3-
this
mention at the point 2, is the same for the Sands
and other stones. When we mention of other stones,
it is refer to some other kind of stones that we
will need for that construction,
4-
the
quantity 1 for the wire for construction refers to 1
rolls that we will be used for the construction,
5-
for
Wood and Planche, when we do mention of 10 for the
quantity, it is about 10 dozens,
6-
for
the water, they sell it also by truck for
construction. So the mention of 15 we do, it is
about for 15 trucks.
7-
When
we mention HD means Haitian Dollar. So the Haitian
currency is about 8.15 Haitian Dollars for 1 USD (American
dollar) more
or less depend of the situation in th daily basis in
Haiti
N.B. we want to
mention for you that this reconstruction will be on
a piece of land with a dimension of: 15mx20m.

N.B. we want to mention to you that this
construction will be on a piece of land with a
dimension of: 15x20. Here is the view of the land.

The earthquake in Port-de-Paix,
Northwest of Haiti (Report)
A statement about the
earthquake of a 7.0 magnitude in Port-de-Paix,Haiti, in that afternoon it was a
very dark evening/ night in town because nobody couldn't
understand what's going on the country because it was for the
first time in this generation something like that happen in this
country.Northwestian abroad couldn't communicate with members of
their families to know if they're okay,It was a nightmare,In
town as in the country some believe maybe it is going to be the
end of the world. After the earthquake and in aout more than a 30 of aftershocks that hit
Haiti,the city of
Port-de-Paix
was not spared
even the national and international media never report it so it
was not like Port-au-Prince and surburbs but the earthquake
had touched almost all over the country, In Port-de-pax there were
:
-
One (1) house collapse in Latendrie
Street
-
Four (3)
leaning houses are :
-
One (1) in Warf street (Rue du Quai)
bas de la ville
-
One (1)
in La coupe (Notre-Dame Avenue area)
-
The (1)building that
locate Balade FM Radio Station in Stenio Vincent Street
-
The (1) National School
of Help Perpetual (Lekol Kay Se)
-
A part of a wall collapsed
from Eben-Ezer Baptist College in Dumarsais Estime Street
-
A
part of a wall of the Seaside Flea market (Marche
bord de mer) also failed.
-
About cracked house :
we don't know because people don't really like to tell until the
authorities should find out or misunderstood or miseducation of
the people to report them.
So now we are facing
some new faces in town that are looking for safe heaven to live,
moving out of Port-au-Prince, some also who left the city for a
long period of time has no choice to return to their hometown some
also come with friends without knowing where they're
going,"it's life",Some also are crying after losing loves
one studied in Port-au-Prince.Report says over 30.000 are
fleeing the Capital ahead in the all Northwest region seeking
refuge.Imagine come in town to seek refuge is one but no food or no
money etc...is another, some in town are questionning what will
be the next hope if no help or support to come from the government or the
international community?

Since then the city of
Port-de-Paix is in darkness,no electrity no pure water to
drink and food become more expensive,It seems like the
population of Port-de-Paix and also the Northwestern area is in waiting list, for how long ? the answer is
unkonwn because the so-called responsible authorities are unable
to answer any questions and some of them are very hard to reach
over the phone....
